FAQ | Velites Leadership Program
What is a leadership development program?
A leadership development program is designed to improve your leadership skills and helps to increase your level of leadership.
Why should I consider a leadership program?
The benefits of leadership development programs are countless. From an organizational perspective, they can enhance employee engagement and help create leaders that can effectively lead teams. Successful leaders give emerging leaders an example to live by. But most importantly, the key for organizations lies in reducing leadership gaps.
From a personal perspective, developing yourself is key to a successful career. A leadership development program makes you ready for the next step in your career. It will boost your confidence and teach you new, valuable skills. In addition, leadership training teaches how to communicate better, how to increase your emotional intelligence, and how to motivate and inspire others.
Is an offline leadership program better than an online course?
Both offline and online learning have their pros and cons. If an online or offline course is better, depends on what you’re looking for. An online program is flexible. You log in from anywhere, you can study anytime and you choose if you are in for a video, doing an assignment or to read the summary of a leadership book. An offline program is forcing you to free up time to join a class. Also, there is more peer-pressure when working in project teams.
What makes the Velites Leadership Program different from other leadership development programs?
Traditional leadership or management programs mainly triggers the left-side of our brain. This part of our brain is in action when it comes to analytical activities and logical thinking. It is this part that makes us detail- and fact-oriented, numerical, and likely to think in words. In a knowledge-based society, this is key. That being said, it is this part of our brain that computers and AI take over. Our right-brain is responsible for our creative part, free-thinking, and our intuïtion. It allows us to see the big picture and visualize instead of thinking in words. It is this part that becomes more and more important for future leadership. Therefore, the Velites Leadership Program has a strong focus on re-activating your right-brain.
Who is this program for?
This program is designed for everybody who is ready to make the next step in his/her career. For those ones who want to become tomorrow’s leader.
